Ok... I was wondering if anyone here might be able to help...
I've been a fan of Rock for a while now, but I have yet to find the right band for me. Can someone help? I'm looking for deep, slow rock, like Metallica or Slipknot's latest CD, except with a little less screaming. Good examples of songs I like are S.o.a.D's Spiders and Aerials, or more recently Lonely Day and Soilder Side. Manson has a few I like, such as Sweet Dreams, and I like a few songs from Stained and Tool, although Tool's a little to quiet with thier vocals for me. Can anyone recommend a band for me?
I am such a big fan of this band...I bought the CD and its incredible!!. The lead single, “Oh My” is soooo catchy and it makes me move! They have a very upbeat, unique and catchy sound that reminds me of Nine-Inch Nails, Coldplay and The Gorillaz. They combine new rock with electronic sounds which adds up to a truly amazing sound. I think you are going to love it because their songs are really catchy...tell me what you think! I would definitely recommend buying their new album “BOX”.
A Perfect Circle, Maynard's (lead singer of Tool)second band. Their vocals are a little louder and a lot of their songs are fairly quiet and steady.
Pink Floyd would be good.
Are you into some alternative or skate punk?
Sublime is a great band. Pretty laid back.

The Eagles would be pretty good. Some songs are slow, some are kind of fast paced. Nothing like Tool, but I love the both. lol

Thanks, Tool Fan, That really helps. As I get the money, I'll try to start investing into some of those CDs, probably starting with NiN, Sublime, Perfect Circle, and Bush.
Listen so soundgarden! their 1994 album 'superunknown'. lots of slower rock, and heavy stuff too. their 1996 album 'down on the upside' is also mellow in parts. and thier vocals are never quiet. one of the best vocalists ever. believe me!
