Tool is music. I dont think you have ever even heard Tool before. Their music is complicated, sophisticated, and means more than what most people on this earth can understand. Panic at the disco is just out of high school. Every member of Tool has a PhD in their specialty. Tool has been around for over 15 years and is still going strong. PATD probably wont make it 5 years from now, thats my bet. Dont compare the 2. Thats like comparing a flawless Beamer to a Civic with a fin and a fart pipe. A Poser.
And, trust me, my feelings hurt? I've been through worse than a simple little internet fight.
My opinion is that PATD isnt particularly good music and people just dont see good music anymore if it fell on them. For the most part, good music ended about 5 or 6 years ago. Its ALL about $ now.
So, that being said, in 20 years, who will be remembered more, Panic at the Disco, or still Led Zepplin? What will people find memorable, the emo/preppiness of the 2000's, or the grungy, cool style of the 90's?
No one is going to care about new music in the future. It wasnt made to last.
And oh, that hurts. My jumpsuit? We arent retarted. We wear pants and a jacket. And its not like I'm pround of my uniform, I hate that damn thing. Its !****!in hot and rides up my ass. But I wear it because I like good music. You have no right to be judging anything if you dont respect your own, let alone, other high achool marching bands. Thats where it starts. But, oh well. You wont take anything I say in. You think you're a little rebel who wont take no !***! from no one. Good luck with that philosophy.
BTW, you're on the wrong forum. If you didnt notice, you dont really fit in here. Go join an emo, or alternative forum. PATD isnt even rock. THEY would tell you that.

I think im going to take sides with tool on this occasion , for the simple fact panic! at the disco are an overproduced pop/rock band that dont even write there own songs. Im not a big fan of tool its not my kinda music but i respect them on their musical competancy, unlike panix!at the disco

wow, okay. i like read the entire forum, because it was kinda funny, but i just had to but in and say a few things. first of all, i love panic a lot, like i'm obsessed, and i could argue all day that they're the best and they're not emo, but it wouldnt do any good to anyone. trust me, i have a sister who is in love with afi, and we argue about the two all the time and who's better and stuff like that, so i know what i'm talking about. Other than that, ppl should not come onto a forum about who LIKES panic at the disco and say why they hate them. second, other ppl who like panic and read what ppl who dont like panic wrote should not get mad at them for having an opinion also. and btw, if ur in the marching band, it means that u spend most of ur time with ur friends, and not on the computer arging about senseless things.
just trying to settle something

I'm back tool.

Everything you said in that last post contradicted itself at least half the time.

This is just an internet bitch fight, yet you still can't get your point across without some biased opinion.
Actually, your WHOLE post is FULL of biased opinion.

As for me, I'm not emo or anything close to it.
I make fun of the kids who are into that kind of fad now-a-days.
I am preppy.
Don't believe me?! www.myspace.com/briangood

Let me get a few things straight, calling people noobs, bragging about how long you've been on a forum, TRYING to earn internet respect; These are all fine examples of why you are in band (and brag about it), and I am not.

Bitch about what you think is great musci and what isn't, but keep in mind it's all to people's likes and dislikes.
I like Panic! and you like TOOL.
Leave it at that, and STOP bitching about PANIC! on these *@(#in topics that are AIMED and PANIC! fans.

You still have some maturing...
...freshmen ;]

-B00M!

P.S.-I have heard Tool many times.
P.S.-I am not saying I am fully mature yet.

Panic! At the Disco and Tool suck (sorry tool_fan). I don't like the bands, but the songs are ok. I can't get over how each band's lyrics are formulated with the instruments to sound good. I don't like the fact that Panic! tries so hard to be cool. I like tool better (even though I don't like them much) because of the way they don't try so hard. Tool's songs are plastered though. That's just my damn opinion.

Personally I think Panic!'s music is brilliant (rhythmically and tonically speaking), and to put them (along with any other band) into a genre affiliation is restricting your own mind to judgement of other music and people and leads to your own close-mindedness.

Face it:

PEOPLE WILL NOT LIKE WHAT YOU LIKE.

So, if you have nothing better to do than dis other bands with no authority, no musical merit or knowledge, and no general thought towards a point of debate then just please go listen to your own music. And if you do want to sound smart and have actual reasons for why something "sucks" then actually listen to the music, take a music theory class, or something, because to everyone else you look like just another pompous jerk with useless black sludge pouring from your mind all over the key board.

Your words are quite worthless and your opinions relaly don't matter anyway, so why waste your time?

Why is it that only people who like Panic at the Disco have a right to express their opinion? Thats just stupid.

Well said Snorkel.

That's the kind of mature approach that this topic was needing.
