Why aren’t there any good punkabilly bands in Toronto? Thank god The Living End are playing at Mod Club next Monday. They’re awesome, plus they’re Australian hello that is HOT.
Punkabilly: a mixture of punk and rockabilly, which makes it a sub-subculture. It’s hard and energetic and the fashion is mainly modelled after old rock n roll (think The King) with high hair and straight leg jeans, but punkish. Swoon.
Moral of this post: 1. Punkabilly is the new black. 2. If you’re a boy you should find some way to be Australian. 3. The Living End will show you what it’s all about Nov. 23.
That is all.

I like The Living End.
Have you listened to Me First And The Gimme Gimme's new album, Love Their Country? It's all covered country songs - Desperado, So Earl Had To Die - but in punk. It's really good. I work at our college radio station (The Living End sent us a station ID) and when people request country, because that's the only thing popular in this brainwashed town - I throw that CD on to shut them up.
