I LOVE FOB and a lot of preppy people do and it gets on my nerves.The only songs they know is like Sugar we're going down, dance Dance and a little less 16 candles. Anyone agree? Anyone LIKE FOB?
No offense Hannah, but I get the feeling just from your vocab that you too are preppy. Correct me if I am wrong (that just the people I thought about when I read you little addition "And you know you do"). Anyways, I am not exactaly sure what I am supposed to be talking about in this thread. But I also think that you may have the wrong forum, I would classify Fall Out Boy as pop, just because they play guitar doesn't make them rock.
I appologise if I was rude to you but I agree with the last post. I know most people here tend to bad mouth new bands in favour of classic rock but FOB are still more pop music than rock.
OK. Don't be offended by this but I am the farthest from preppy. People call me emo but I'm straight edge. So that covors that and HAVE YOU READ any of the lyrics?!?!?! Read them and THEN tell me if they're pop. The only thing you've probably heard was sugar we're goin' down, dance dance, and a little less sixteen candles. If you have From Under the Cork Tree, Take This To Youur Grave, My heart Will Always Be The B-side, or Evening Out With Your Girlfriend you'd know that those three songs are pretty much the worst.

What the !****! does alternative even mean anymore? That word only had relevance back in the 80's when 'alternative' bands were still in the underground and were actually the alternative to something
lyrics has nothing to do with the genre of music. well not how you classify music. reading their lyrics will make no difference about how I feel about them. wether they're deep or shallow
What is alternative? If I am right alternative and indie are like the same thing, right? I really am not sure. But anyways indie just means that they have an independent recored label, but it can encompass pop music. That is my understanding of alternative.
Also why would I take offense to you not being preppy? I don't care if you are or not, I just know preppy people that say things like that.
