Alternative rock (also called alternative music[1] or simply alternative) is a genre of rock music that emerged in the 1980s and became widely popular in the 1990s. I love Fall Out Boy. I am obsessed. I bought paper with their faces on it. I also have lots of posters and I kiss each band member before I go to sleep at night. Its bad I know. I like their music. I would consider it rock, but I'm not too music style savvy. I don't think they're pop. Pop seems oh I don't know different I suppose. And FoxyPianoGirl you dissed Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco on another forum. Is that like a hobby? Sorry that might have been rude. Yeah so I love them. You are not alone. i happen to agree. i think FOB is a great band that gets made fun of a lot because they're "sell outs". they have really deep lyrics and while their musicianship is questionable i believe that that music that comes from your heart is better than music where someone just shows off how well they play. oh and to all you classic rock lovers out there: you are listening to poppy mainstream bands too, you're just 30 years late.

Pete Wentz gets all the credit for that band, thats why I dislike them, I gotta give it to them they have an amazing drummer but apart from that I don't really say the whole "f0B ROXZZZ My SOXXX'Z" Pete has well and truly ruined fob, sold out a good band, who could of been respected, this is my own opinion and I am sorry to those who like FOB for their music, they have a few good songs, I aint criticizing the band in general or the fans, because I know what its like to have your heros called a "emo fags" every forum to myspace to being bottled. I just feel that Pete with his own clothing + modeling, his house on cribs etc, is just total disrespect to the band.

FOB and all of the other emo bands are awful. Music was at its best when we had good old classic rock(or anything before 1990).Emo rock doesn't even deserve the title rock because it's so bad. Listen to somethin better, like RUSH!!!
