u wanna know who the greatest rock bands are, the doors, the who, led zeppelin, pink floyd, the steve miller band. how could u not mention the doors god jim morrison was the greatest ever, and u are such a poser if u like lincoln park for christ sake they had a cd with jz how can u call them rock, rock is the 70s and 60s and its about breaking through to the other side u guys really need a lesson on rock

There is NO competition, LED ZEPPELIN (skill wise) they had Page( one of the best guitarists ever!), Bonham (An all around incredable drummer), and Plant (maybe not as strong as Page and Bonham, but he`s up there)___NO one can ever come close to what Page and Plat did!!

Now this is a hard one to answer, Iwould say the beach boys because they were so original and revolutionary, but also underrated alot when people look back at the sixties, brian wilson was a musical genuis

Led Zeppelin is clearly the best band ever. Sure, the beatles were all "great" and stuff, but i wouldnt call it rock. Its pop music. And someone before said that Zeppelins music never changed, stayed the same. My a** it did. It started out as more bluesy, and prgressed from there. Houses of the Holy is nothing like Led Zeppelin, the album,. And someone said Bohnam was better than rushs drummer, and i agree. But right up there with bonham is Keith Moon.

For one Ac/Dc is not the best band ever, the best band ever does not have every song sound the same. Overall according to facts, impact, influnce, and diversity the beatles are the ultimate band.
