yes I am a guy, I am from Alabama but live in Colorado Springs, Colorado right now. I am moving to Florida in about 10 months. I have been listening to some good music lately... Muse, Rage, and Tea Party... all three are in my favorites. I always loved Metallica and still have great respect for them but they slipped alot on the St. Anger albumn. I mean I stuck with them through Load and Reload but Saint Anger sucks.. by far their worst albumn to date.

no, no, no. metallica is a good group and all, but come on.. they`re not half as good as pink floyd or the doors. they couldn`t even top tool. sure, they have a few good songs here and there, but not many. :/

ok Metallica has countless hits: Enter Sandman, One, Master of.., unforgiven, nothing else matters, for whom the bell tolls, sad but true, fuel, I dissapear, memory remains, no leaf clover, hero of the day, Untill it sleeps, Wherever I may Roam, Turn the Page, Whiskey in the Jar, King Nothing. Not saying I am a huge Metallica fan but the average music fan would always say Metallica has more hits that Tool, Note: I am saying what songs you know. Tool is a great band however, I will agree there.

heh. how many of them are GOOD songs? like i said.. not many. tool may not have had as many hits, hell i think the only one they had was schism, but tool is far more talented than metallica will ever be. well, in my opinion.
psh, it still doesn`t mattter who`s better: tool or metallica.. PINK FLOYD MUTILATES BOTH OF THEM. (along with the doors and nirvana.) :P

come on schism was not even the biggest hit by tool. Sober is by far a bigger hit plus all of those metallica songs are good. Pink Floyd is great, not the greatest but great.

i`m just saying that`s the only song i`ve heard played on the radio and television. psh, i wish they`d play `sober`. metallica`s songs just sound the same. most of them, anyway. and, pink floyd may not be the best band, but they`re certainly better than tool and metallica put together.

oh, and also, it doesn`t matter how many hits they have. wowzers.. it really doesn`t matter how many hits they have. most good music is underground, or most band`s music they`ve made before they became big. so, yeah, it`s not determined by their amount of hits they`ve accumulated. but, hey, this is all just an opinion.

They are good not the best but I dont have many arguments of what has been said so I`ll mention a band that I like that hasnt been talked about.

No jeers, please but the greatest rock band (after the beetles) is.........Drum role..........The Eagles! Seriously, if you consider all the ingredients needed for greatness in musical terms, the Eagles have it in abundance.
Great songs, Great musicians, Great arrangements, Great big fat bank balances from all the Royalties over 25yrs
