paramore is pretty good. the acoustic version of "misery business" kicks ass.
umm you also might like the used, if you don't already.
other than that i don't listen to too much modern rock. i'm more of a metal fan.

Family Force 5 is SO the best.
They are unknown, but they are also the band that will be the koolest of the future.
I am dead serious.
All my friends are like "ew, that sounds gross" and then they listen to just one FF5 song, and they are addicted.

Don't mind me, I'm just trying to rack up some points. While I'm here though, the best rock bands r the ones before 1990. But recently, alot of abnds are reuniting, Like The police, van halen,ect. And even the greatest canadian rock band of all time, RUSH just came out with a new album SNAKES N ARROWS. 33 years running strong, yeah!

Who said it had to be new OR old? my taste occupies the region inbetween. anything to do with Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland, Mark Arm or Layne Staley is worth listening too.
