Hey life sucks so what eles is there to write about??? When i think about it the only thing i live for is MUSIC. I write my own songs too and ALL my lyrics are depressing with a depressing moral hidden within the song`s blanket of words. Marilyn Manson rox but Nirvana kicks any bands ass... but thats my opinion anyway and i simply don`t have the passion anymore to debate with people about my music. Well if anyone wants to chat about music, life and its misseries or simply any thing at all well then e-mail me.... don`t care how old u r or what u look like just save me from this world of ridicule and its oxygen thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love Steph

Listen to music that you define as `happy`. I find it gets me in the mood and words just start to come easier, and not forced.

i find that if i listen to a song thatis in the same kind of approtch, like something that is happy, thats were my inspiration comes from, if im happy then the song is happy

Sometimes its not a bad thing to write "depressing" songs. But if you`re other band members dont like it then I suppose you have no choice. Writing happy songs that arent all sappy or about girls is pretty easy. Think of the last party you were at, or the last time you were goofing off with your friends, stirring up trouble, and write about it. You do stir up trouble, dont you?

i write songs a lot too and i sorta have the same problem- like- there all depressing but i guess that means that its the only time im inspired or whatever to write good music. i do write happy songs when im in a good mood but damn they suck. but when im depressed all these good lines just pop into my head all the time. its weird

Actually, the key to writing an awesome song, is to have a theme, or a topic. Or, just listen to music while composing...

I have to admit, it isn`t all that bad writing depressing songs. But sometimes it`s good to write happy songs.

i don`t think that it actually matters if your lyrics are happy or sad or angry, whatever it is ther are people that can relate to it. it`s not hard to find one person to agree with what you are writing about, but if you want to branch out and write music for people and not yourself then tlak to people see what they like better. so far on here it has been depression all the way. im not all about it but i generally write about being alone or stuff that really brings me down. whatever yu do will work out if you have faith in your music. rock on!

hey i went on the band website and read all the lyrics, my favorites are Alternative World, I Wish, Get Away (seriously, this song kicks som serious ass!) Persona is really deep, weird at some points (in a good way) but anything less than bithchin would be an understatement ;D. but they all kick ass

Hi,

I`m in a new band in Boston. I wrote a bunch of songs while I was living in New York, and then some more after I moved to Boston and I`m interested to hear some feedback. All the lyrics are listed on the website, and there are some mp3s too.

Please tell me what you think!
