Metallica made their biggest mistake ever letting dave go. Sure he was a bit out of hand but at least he knew the real meaning of good music.
Thank God he decided to keep playing so people like myself would have some real music to listen to besides metallicas pop culture rock. They lost it as soon as they tried to become mainstream.
Dave is devoted to what he loves - his fans and his music and will do anything to put on a great show.
Megadeth is all about a look recently and when they are not busy bring some company or another up on charges for stealing their ideas or their name, they might get to play the odd guitar solo. Seems like soon they will all be wearing cowboy hats and trying to imitate nickleback. and sadly that would be an improvement.
So please give me a break. stop posting metallica is the best rock band out there..... because they really arnt. Not with such other good material around. Not just megadeth.. Try listening to some of bucketheads shreading guitar or his new almost space type of playing. Try Some MichaelAngelo from Nitro on. Maby some classics like Van halen, Motorhead, Jimmy Page and all of Led Zepplin.. Even Courtney Love was better than metallica for Gods sakes...

What the hell are you on about! Sure Van Halen, Motorhead and Led Zeppelin kick ass but are you nuts?!? Metallica completely kick ass! You cannot but fall in lve with the black album! I will however admit that the St Anger album does suck but dood, you gotta open up you`re mind, coz Metallica really do kick ass!

If you don't feel Metallica's old materal (Black Album and everything before) makes up for St. Anger, there's something wrong with you.
Megadeth, while good, cannot compare to Metallca, at all.
As far as axe-slinging, Kirk Hammett is a modern legend, while Mustaine is simply talented.

OO man come on you know damn well that Dave Mustaine goal in life was to have a better band then metallica and even he admits he failed and wasn't even close. Metallica never went into mainstream their albums just kicked ass. Im tired of idiots saying dumb !***! like the black album being mainstream and metallica selling out because of that album if Ride the lighting had already sold 4 million copies by 1989. 2 years before the release of the black album. and Master of Puppets had already sold more then 3 million by 1990. Kill em all was their first album and it went Gold (500,000) copies in just two weeks soo what the hell is this nonsense of being mainstream? Metallica is hardcore to the bone not only that st. anger was good. the damn album was already being judged before its released.

one of the reasons i stopped posting in this forum is because too many ignorants like bigperm kept posting stupid posts like the one above.
Metallica did disappoint with st anger, but still there first 5 albums make up 100 times the failure of st anger.
Iron Maiden and Megadeth are metal geniuses, they !***** rock.

they r both good but you cannot replace Black album, reload or load by Megadeth's greatest hits cuz Peace Sells is no match. Metallica rocks far more both both are perfectly good. so stop bashing the best current metal bands!

their self-titles album from '91 was really good. But after that, they started sucking and they are the ones to blame for severely inforcing the law about pirating music. As if their millions they had already made wasnt enough, they started arresting their own fans so they could make more.

I know how good megadeth are, i know how good dave is. but he was chucked out of metallica for being a drunk and not being as commited to the band as lars, james and cliff.
Also i'd like to say that metallica are better than megadeth. just look at how popular each band is. If i had a choice of going to see metallica or megadeth, I'd go for metallica any day.
