Hi

I heard this tune when I was very young, then again on the radio a few years ago. I seem to remember the melody is initially played by a flute, then later by strings. I have tried to write the melody out below - the pattern below is played twice before the melody moves on, but the tune keeps returning to this melody.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Starting at middle c on the piano,(c)=crotchet, (q)=quaver :

middle-C(c)
B-below-middle-c(q)
G-below-middle-c(q)
E-below-middle-c(c)
c-octave-below-middle-c(q)
G-below-middle-c(q)
E-below-middle-c(q)
F#-below-middle-c(c)
D-below-middle-c(q)
A-below-middle-c(q)
F#-below-middle-c(q)
G-below-middle-c(c)

I think it's better if you'd record you singing the tune, and then uploading it to a file host so we can hear it :D
