Ampeg BA115 Tilt Back Bass Combo Amplifier (100 Watts, 1x15 in.)

Ampeg BA115 Tilt Back Bass Combo Amplifier (100 Watts, 1x15 in.)

The BA115 is a great amp for those looking to start playing electric. With 100W behind a 15 in. speaker, it gives a great sound right out of the box! It comes with 3-band tone control, plus a style selector with 5 tone options. The controls are uncomplicated and easy to master. Add all that together with a great price, and it's hard to imagine why you wouldn't want this amp.

Ampeg BA115 Tilt Back Bass Combo Amplifier (100 Watts, 1x15 in.) Reviews

Ampeg BA115 Tilt Back Bass Combo Amplifier (100 Watts, 1x15 in.) Sample Review

Feature:
i think the 5 position selector is cheesey, and I rarely use it. i do however use the CD input for laptop playback , which I use to record our practices, and thats real helpfull

Quality:
dont like the cloth grill cover, every amp in the band but mine has a metal grill.

Value:
over priced for only 100 watts, in my opinion. in hindsight, i should have saved up for a few more months and gotten a seperate amp and cabinet, I'd probably be a lot happier.

Desirability:
all black, i dissagree with the poeople that say " you look good on stage if you use it" thats crap !. but for a monitor it's good. i use mine as a seat often, love feeling the Bass in the Butt

Sound:
sound is fine enough, i came from a Crate 100 watt combo ( got old ) to this, I practice in a relatively small basement so depending on where I stand, the sound drops out, but thats just the room accoustics so I cant blame the amp. Havent played out with it yet, it'll be interesting to see how it does then.

Ease of Use:
not a lot of crap to get in the way, other than the selector switch.

Support:
haven't had need of support.... yet

Overall:
as soon as we start playing out, i'll probably start looking for more power, as I'm sure the guitars will blow me away. i do rattle stuff upstairs all the time, but the drummers wife is pretty understanding, knowing its just the frequency, and not the power / loudness, so thats cool.
