Behringer V-Amp 2 Guitar Amp Modeling Processor
Behringer V-Amp 2 Guitar Amp Modeling Processor ReviewsBehringer V-Amp 2 Guitar Amp Modeling Processor Sample ReviewFeature:It would have been too easy to over-engineer the V-AMP2, but they didn't. Let's face it, the thing does some pretty damned complicated stuff. The interface is intuitive so that even a dullard like me can make it work out of the box. The only glaring oversights, and they are related, are the proprietary power plug and the lack of an on/off switch. The only way to power down the V-AMP2 is to pull the plug. Not much of an issue until either end breaks on you... Quality: The V-AMP2 is pretty solid, but it is made of plastic. I will crush it, eventually... Value: Cheaper than a Marshall replacement knob. Desirability: Sure is purtee. Sound: I s@@k. I have always s@@ked on guitar, despite the fact I have been playing on-and-off for over 20 years. I guess that's why I am a drummer! Now, thanks to this incredible device, the crap that spews forth from my Gibson sounds GREAT! Support: I have yet to destroy it, so I have no experience with customer service. I will say, however, they the website is a wealth of information and links. The best link, IMHO, is the one to a site where a POD owner has hacked all 1000+ of the POD configs and translated them to V-AMP2 format for download. Takes balls to link to that! Overall: If this thing worked forever, I would never need another. Yeah, and I said that about my TRS-80... |
