Sound: I bought aj500r the other day.IT has a excellent sound.remind me of 1956 gibson flat top I used to play when I was 15 year old .I have a 1995 alvarez, and 1989 taylor 810,I play and love the sound of both,I TRADED a a 1984 guild gadg212 string and was going to buy a gibson,til I picked up the aj500r.wonderful sound ,great action,excellent looks,resonable price.IM a70 year old guitar picker.And play by ear and love acoustic guitar picking sound.
