Fostex PM1MKII Powered Nearfield Monitor
Fostex PM1MKII Powered Nearfield Monitor ReviewsFostex PM1MKII Powered Nearfield Monitor Sample ReviewFeature:No real features. You have to tune your room!!! Volume and on/off switch. That's about it. They're worth it when placed correctly. Quality: Mine have been punished for about 3 years now and sound great. One of the speakers has developed a quiet rattle (in the box construction, not driver) around the 200hz range. Rarely heard though, usually when tracking not mixing. Value: Every studio should have these instead of NS10. They're accurate and sound sweeter. Desirability: The new ones look great in piano black Sound: Great product, especially for the price. It needs to sit correctly in a well thought out room to hear the bottom end properly. Fantastic for tracking and not too bad for mixing. You can hear things that just can't be hearrd on a normal speaker system. It gets a 9 because of the price and the quality of the sound involved. Ease of Use: Pretty simple. Support: Haven't used them. Will downgrade if they give a reason to in future. Overall: Simply put, they aren't a top of the line studio monitor with the most accurate of mixes. However, who has that type of money. Get 'em and you'll find a way of placing them in the room and enjoying them. |
