Feature:
It takes a while to figure out the advanced sampler functions, particularly how to trim the samples to save memory. The feature set on this is magnitudes greater than the previous electribes, and allows a real musician to use it effectively. I would only add the wish for future models to include multiple midi channels.
Quality:
So far this has been tight and rock-solid. We'll see in the enduing months whether the rotary dial loses its contacts. It gets a lot of usage. I currently use this gigging without a back-up, but that's not a good idea with any equipment.
Value:
This has undergone a significant price reduction. Now at $500 brand new, it is a tool that common riff-raff can afford. Damn!
Desirability:
I desperately do not want my competitors to have this. In the world of live performance, this tool can make for one hell of a show. I console myself with the hope that others are not so dedicated in their programming and composition.
Sound:
The sampler is perfectly adequate. I am quite satisfied with the sounds of the effects.
Support:
The manual is surprisingly good. I own 2 other Korg synths, and their manuals are impenetrable. This one is quite clear. I have not yet needed to deal with Korg, so I cannot comment on repair support.
Overall:
Love this thing. I use this every single day.
