Korg Triton Extreme 61-Key Synth Workstation Reviews
Korg Triton Extreme 61-Key Synth Workstation Sample Review
Feature: it's OK. Keyboard is better then the old ones. The joy-stick is very nice
Quality: It's OK, it's not as well made as a Yamaha instrument in terms of build quality. But I will not use it for gigs. in terms of user friendliness, this thing beats a Yamaha by miles
Value: It's good, but the exra features don't come cheap. Especcialy with the Yamaha Motif you get a lot more hardware with more sound engines effects etc. But Yamaha should look at the user friendliness of their synths
Desirability: Well, It's a bit of a glamoursynth with a lot of features. When it gets to tweaking sounds, it's a bit boring. I have an old Kurzweil K2000 that i use for live setup. It may be old, but it has incredble primitive power. When i would use them live together the Triton will be nowhere.
Sound: Like most korg products it sounds a little bit processed. Natural sounds got a lot better with the extreme version. but especially yamahas sound a lot more lively.
Support: It never went wrong sofar, so i can't really judge on this. Generally Korg has a good representation in Europe
Overall: I will be satisfied for a long time. You don't need more than 16 tracks for your midi songs. I will not trade it for a Korg Oasys for instance. It meets all my requirements for studio use and works well. What could be better is some natural sounds, filters and it coud use a bit of raw power.
