Quality:
One of the volumeknobs was stuck, after pullinf off the plastic knob abd refitting, everything o.k
Desirability:
If you can spend more, look for the mackies or genelec's
Sound:
compared to my old Tannoy eclipse, mid's are sounding a bit agressive but that's a matter of taste. These speakers are fine for mixing and these mixes translate well to other systems. I also A/B-ed the RP8's to other active speakers in the musicstore. Samson resolve 80's: forget these! (poor mids),Tannoy reveals active: nice mids & overpronounced bass (100hz), Mackie 624's: fine speakers (sound&looks)but twice the pricetag, Genelec 1031A's: excellent but hey, 5 times the pricetag!
