Kurzweil SP88 Stage Piano
Kurzweil SP88 Stage Piano ReviewsKurzweil SP88 Stage Piano Sample ReviewFeature:The ribbons in the place of modulation wheels is stupid and impractical, and only functions with 3 or 4 of the sounds on the thing. Quality: Seems to be put together well but I've only had it for a couple of months and haven't used it on any gigs. Value: You get what you pay for. Spend a bit more money and get something good. Don't waste your time with this. Desirability: blah Sound: I am very unimpressed with the sounds on this keyboard. The grand piano is mediocre and that is probably the best sound on the board. There isn't one usable electric piano sound out of the 10. My old Roland XP10 has better ones. In addition there are these stupid ribbons in the place of modulation wheels that serve almost no purpose, They only function with a few of the sounds and are awkward to use. Kurzweil told me that they are for midi applications, which would be great if I could get the midi to function. Support: I contacted kurzweil about the midi not functioning at all. They told me to run a cable from the in on the keyboard to the out on the keyboard, and if I got a signal then there was nothing wrong with their keyboard. That doesn't help me considering every other midi instrument i've plugged in to my computer works perfectly instantly, without any tweaking. So I would say they were pretty unhelpful. They did respond to my email quickly however. Overall: I'm going to get rid of this as fast as possible and buy a roland. |
