SM Pro Audio PR4V 4-Channel Microphone Preamp
SM Pro Audio PR4V 4-Channel Microphone Preamp ReviewsSM Pro Audio PR4V 4-Channel Microphone Preamp Sample ReviewFeature:Standard features inlude XLR balanced inputs, and 48V phantom power. This unit has unbalanced outputs though, but if you are just making short-runs (to your DAW), you should be comfortable using the PR-4. Quality: Very sturdy case. All metal construction. Could use a set of rack-mount "ears" to make it a road unit. Value: For the money, every budding engineer should have one. Desirability: It's not sexy at all, and it shouldn't be. It's basic audio gear. But it does have a pretty green light for power indication, and a green "clip" led on each channel. Sound: Sounds fairly transparent, and input sensitivity was consistant throughout the 4 balanced XLR inputs. Support: Have not had to contact SMPro Audio for support. Overall: I love this. I think I need 2. If you think 4 is to small, try a PR-8 |
