I listened to both this and the "alternate ending" version, and I am commenting on this one because it was the first (

). I have enjoyed this piece, but, because I have not been to Paris (yet), I had a hard time picturing what it would be like, but here is what I see: I see a darkened city of late summer, at a later hour of the afternoon or evening, with a mist and a light rain, with a grayish blue color with it. It's very pleasant for me to visualize, but this may not have been what you intended... I think that extending the themes a bit (inversions and other variations), maybe even adding a "darker" or "lighter" section may help to change things up. All composers here, though, must remember that a sonata is usually in three movements. I think this piece may be classified as a sonatina (unless you have planned other movements)... If I may ask, what key is this piece in? It has a nice mellow feel to it... I hope that this can help with anything.
