Hi! I am a junior clarinet major at Simpson College. I used to play sax, until I ran into some difficulties with a professor. Since I had played clarinet before, and had no other options for a major, I switched to clarinet. I`m working on both the Bb and the bass in lessons, and occasionally play the Bb contrabass in band. I have two more years of school left, in which time I hope to get as good on clarinet as I was on saxophone. I currently own five `real` instruments: two alto saxes, my Bb, a flute, and a trombone. I enjoy playing flute once in a while, but my flute is currently not working. I`ve played random brass instruments in random ensembles before, and can hold my own. I participated in the Early Music Ensemble here for two years on alto recorder. I dabble in composition, and have a weird fascination with hymns.



Outside of music, my life is fairly dull. Currently single, I don`t do much outside of my room (as of right now). I discovered desktop modification in March, and love it to death! Windowblinds, DesktopX, ObjectDock, Yahoo Widgets, etc. I also have an odd fascination with alternative browsers. I currently use Firefox, but I`m loving Flock and Opera more and more.



I`ve been on 8notes for quite some time (1-2 years), and frequent some of the forums. I go through periods of activity and inactivity. Perhaps someday I`ll post my compositions for all to look at.
