I am Alyssa, i am in the 9th grade and i play flute/piccolo.
In december of 2012, i participated in a region band audition. I placed 37 th chair of the 68 flutes that auditioned. In this, i lost only to 11th and 12th graders, and i ranked 15 chairs higher than any of the flutists from my school.
My director is VERY picky of who plays piccolo, and i am the first person in 4 years at my school to be allowed to play it at concert competitions.
