Hey, I'm JAke. I play all the brass at my middle school bands. I'm in the 7th and 8th grade bands, learning every instrument. I'm learning the musical theory, which I'm buying a "for dummy's " book on it and printing a whole bunch of it online. I major in Trumpet, and plan on being better than Louis Armstong and Herb Alpert (big dream I know) and please don't discourage it. Laterrr.
Interests
Band. Band Band. I play 2 hours of practice each day of the week.
and I make my own music.

You posted around a month ago that you needed help with a 3 octave scale... Make sure you take in a lot of air properly (from the bottom up) . When your are ascending you should only add air as you need it (that way you have the extra push for the F). Just try to feel like you are riding on one constant air stream, and in your mind instead of thinking up, think down or across and "aim your sound" and something.

If you want to play it properly you will do it all in one breath without resetting the horn on your chops and without using your tongue to help get the high notes out.

it's a lot of work but if you can hit an F and are only in middle school that's great.
I Hope this helps since I feel like I may have given a bit too much info here... basically I mean just blow a lot of fast air.
