Hi Tenorsaxist,
How have you been? I've been pretty good, and have been practicing a lot for allstate audidions, etc, and recently have taken up the cello! Thanks, and enjoy your january as well!
Bethmusik
I could say more, but I won't, at least not yet! PALIN FOR PRESIDENT!
Bethmusik
I could not post on that Democrate Republican pole so I will say it here. I love my country, why don't you?
MusicalPanda
Wow, your school has a repair tech? Quite impressive!
In my school, we don't even have a teacher who specializes in classical instrumental music (ie concert band).
Clarinet is going well =] I think I'm advancing quite quickly. I got accepted to a youth orchestra, and I'm first chair clarinet in my band (which really isn't all that hard, since all the clarinets in my band really suck)
And I've also been playing the schools E flat clarinet =] Quite fun.
oboegirl
I actually got a reed from my teacher today so now I'm not worried about my concert at all!
oboegirl
lol. I'm having what you might call a "reed emergency" right now because my last reed just wore out, and the place I order them from can't get them to me for 2-3 weeks. To top it all off, I have a concert next weekend and I have a solo! I'm going to have to see if I can get one from my teacher. But other than that I'm doing good lol!
DanTheMaster
Yeah, it does die down during the summer months. No one has anything musical to do (except marching band for some) except the Australians who are in school. (I think)
So how has drum majoring gone?
Canadian
Ah, I doing really good =]! I love playing in an orchestra, and being 1st chair is always fun. It's nice to get big solos. Currently we are playing basically the whole Die Fledermaus opera WITH singers. It's awesome.
DanTheMaster
Who's the lady holding the bassoon in your picture?
dburroway
If you don't want to teach, don't waste your time double majoring. There is no such thing as a minor in music ed, and states guidelines for education majors get tougher and tougher. If you love performance, then go for it.
DanTheMaster
I just made the 2000th hit on your profile page.
oboegirl
Hi! Yeah I love playing the english horn! Too bad there isn't very much music written for them!
oboegirl
Hey! Thanks for the friend request!
JazzOboe
I only saw the small version of your picture, and I thought it was Steve Erkel! (Or however you spell it).

Hey, Yeah I guess I am glad Phil is back, I mean he really didn't do much (not that I saw) that was terribly bad, he was just rude and boastful. He seems as if hes changed some, anyways, Luke messed up, I was at the Dr.'s Office with my other little brother and my little sister, they were getting shots and my little sis was getting her kindergarten thing done, I went to help my mom, lol, so I was not hurt at all, (except while I was there I fell of of that little bed they have when I was sitting with my little sibs. lol) So yeah, I was just at my little sibs pediatrician, not a hospital.

Wow, I got up early today to go to the dentist... but not that early. Yeah, I'm also going to have to get used to waking up at 7 again, and walking to school. Now a days I've been waking up around 11 or 11:30, so its quite the change in time. I can't wait to be seeing my friends everyday, and being principal clarinetist next year =]. I might even get a few clarinet solos, since my band director knows I'm really good. Although I haven't told him I'm switching from bass to clarinet yet... I hope it all goes over well =].
MusicalPanda
=] Thanks!
I'm fine, waiting for school to come. And I really can't wait until band this year, switching from bass clarinet to clarinet! Yay melody~~~! Plus I'll be first clari =]
(Et toi?)
And you?

Thanks! That picture is from a couple of years ago. I have just been super busy, but okay I guess.

Are you from australia?
Your page looks nice
I like strawberries too :D
Hope all is well.

MusicalPanda
Hehe, I like them all! Change is good, keeps things interesting!
MusicalPanda
Ahh =]
I would like to learn bassoon if I had the time.. But next year Ill probably be playing piano/bass clarinet/clarinet and E flat clarinet too =]. Perhaps in my later years of life I will.
MusicalPanda
Bassoons are so cool =].
I still haven't come across a bassoon player in band or band camp, so I guess you're a rare breed. LONG LIVE BASSOONS!
tenorsax13
yup I took that Physical science intro class in my past 8th grade year, and looking forward to my soon to be no life of too much homework and heaps of music to practice.
And about practicing marching band music...don't worry i already hate it. I never practice at home, because we practice it for hours at band camp. :/
tenorsax13
Thanks! abd as for my corses/ well, bio honors, geometry honors, english 1, American Government, and my electives are Band, Jazz band, and PE. ;]
DanTheMaster
That sort of looks like Whoopie Goldberg in your new pic. Is it?
ChiSun
i have about a year left, if all goes well. lol
iluvoboe565

tenorsax13

I'm just overpracticing, as usual.
tenorsaxist
thanks for commenting, so keep them coming!
Gumby
ha ha ha, ho ho ho, and a couple of late late to do das!
tenorsax13
lol yes, apparently so. :]
the traditional flute is technically a soprano flute, making the piccolo the sopranino, and so on, if there is an instrument higher than piccolo(ouch).
tenorsax13
An alto flute is in the key of G, below the C Flute and above the bass flute.
tenorsax13
lol, I've played an alto flute before and loved it. After I get my new C Flute, thats the next instrument im going after.
Bass is nice, but its very big and a little too low for me.
tenorsax13
I have no clue why I was called a silly goose, but it kinda freaked me out a little.
You hate the flute! how could you?! *cries* lol but I agree. The piccolo is hard to listen to.
Canadian
Hahah, I'm good. Strange picture you have there (lol!)
I'm always busy. There's always something for me to do xD
tenorsaxist
Yes! Im Back for good, we had our comp. fixed, so start typin again!
tenorsaxist
hey guys, my comp. has crashed, so it may be a while, so continue to comment, And I WILL get back to you soon, OK?
can't wait to be able to log on every day!
Canadian
Yay tenoroon and Contra Clari!!
tenorsax13
It basically sounded like a thunderstorm that could play music.
I only played it once though, when I went to this music camp last summer. But I play flute and piccolo too, still trying to decide if I like flute better.
tenorsax13
um...well I own a tenor and an alto, but currently play alto in our schools marching band. In the past I played bari, I was even lucky enough to play a soprano saxophone, as well as a bass.
I only play the Bb Soprano Clarinet. You?
tenorsax13
lol thanks.
I just post a lot and ask lots of questions. Back when the sax forum was alive I posted TONS there, mostr of it wasn't music related though. Hence the Great Cereal Debate, look it up if you have the time.
tenorsaxist
COME ON GUYS... I'm starting to get a tid bit lonely...
