I am what one would describe as "A devoted amateur." I stopped my formal music education to raise a family. At 39 I decided to finish and auditioned the school of music at our area university. I was accepted but the demands of an instrumental music degree, commuting 90 miles daily and parenting teens was too much! I am a special education teacher and an active community musician; playing in the local community bands and churches as well as teaching lessons. Violin and Flute are my first instruments and I double most all of the woodwinds.
