Hmmm, tips on shifting. Well, probably one of the best shifting book out there is Sevcik Op. 8 Shifting the Position and Preparatory Scale-Studies. That book goes a lot higher than fourth position though at the start, so I wouldn't recommend it right now, but you might want to see what books there are for shifting. Go to your local music store and see which one explains it in the best way for you. Just keep on playing in position and you will get familiar with it. Hope you can find something you like.
