You can call me Koza.
It means `little dear one` in Polish, although I know it means other things in different language.
My Baba (grandmother) who passed away in December 2006 gave me the nickname.
I`m 15 years old and a sophomore in high school.
My main instrument is the flute (Yamaha 925 or 684...not sure &C-foot! ^^) and I am currently in my school`s wind ensemble. I have been playing since I was ten-years-old. Well...I got my first flute when I was nine, but I was one week short of being 10. The picture is me at my first ever spring concert, where I played a solo!:)
I want to be a music teacher when I grow up because I believe music is important in everyone`s lives. I want to major in music education, and (hopefully) double minor in flute performance and musical theatre.
I`m moving from the United States to Europe at the end of this school year...in fact July 6th as I said above! If anyone has ANY experience with auditioning/being in AMIS, regardless of what instrument you play, please let me know!!

yeah, i've decided to practice A LOT this summer so i can get really really good. My dream is to go down to state junior year..*fingerscross**
HMMM. i actually don't know what i want to major in. I have 3 things in my mind it's a doctor degree in music + ministry, a children's doctor (i'm good with science/math), OR a something with chemistry.

yeah! me too! i'm leaving in two weeks to a flute camp in wisconsin. I'm so excited and i don't know anyone that's going but, it should be fun.^^ yeah, this summer is all music-related stuff. i'm taking piano, voice and flute lessons. Exhausting, but i'm hoping i'll get REALLY good over the summer! : ]] yay.
interlochen? i wanted to go there too, but it was over $1000. ahhh, i'm poor. haha, i don't think i can go. maybe someday though! ^^ it'll be amazing if we met together. HEHEHE
Right now, i'm trying to find a job. I'm thinking about working at subway, and make sandwiches (sp?) and volunteer at the hosipital.

i'm going to a flute camp this summer inwisconsin, and i'm excited. also doing cross country camp, and retreats, camp counsuler for little kids.

I had a chance to go into Geometry as soon as I went into highs school but I got really nervous on tyhe test and all I needed was four more questionms and I would have gottnen it...

Ya I saw me old band teacher.
She was happy to see me!

And I flying attaklepunced all of my teachers.
I'm 5'8 and I almost brought a guy whos 6'4 to the ground.

We went to band camp in 2006
I LOVE BAND CAMP!!!
But i pay percussion for marching band..
It was funny...

I have been playing flute for*counts on fingers*.....about 6 years...I'm really good though...I'm just as good as the seniors at my school.(I'm a frosh and gosh darn proud of it!!! XD)

For beginning in composition, just do what you want to (that's what I did). No rules, no boundaries, as simple, complicated, sane, unsound, or death defying as you like. Everyone creates their own style (or adapts sort of), and I would consider mine late-romantic (like Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Bizet) but sometimes I can write like other eras. I would strongly suggest taking a course in music theory (I haven't yet) to understand everything that's possible. When I first started, I just picked up on what other composers wrote, and tried to replicate feelings or thoughts. Trying to write music to represent a certain thing (storm, flower, bee, etc.) is kind of where I started to try this.
