JUST UPLOADED 6/11/2013 - Silent 34 Silent 48
Last Perfect Day arose from the demise of garage band Phydeaux in 1985. Influences were, and still are derived from the prog rock agents of that era. I particularly enjoy chamber and small ensemble classic`s, Bach Albinoni etc. These influences find their way into my arrangements.
Together with assorted relics of amateur studio gear, I started the home recording of his original music using two cassette tape decks bounced through a small multitrack mixer. No easy task with the challenging `studio` arrangement, but within a couple of years three tapes had been written recorded and produced.
The studio is now a well organized digital affair with all new instruments, but with the same dedicated approach. I currently have two completed CD`s artwork et al.
In order to enjoy the physical reward of years of dedication to the production of my own music, I have been distributing completed CD`s locally, and spreading the songs through internet music hosting websites.
Scanning through the internet music hosting websites, it is obvious that the bias is on heavy metal rock, (which is one of many genres that I enjoy, or on the more disposable genre`s such as rap and house/club.
How about a different angle, that is leaning towards the far greater number of music listeners who prefer something easier to listen to, without having to dredge out the old standards over again. LPD embodies an unusual, but highly listenable blend of alternative, with classical and electronic nuances. At this stage all productions are instrumental, perfect for motoring to, at work or after a long day.
I am more than happy to post off free CD`s, just mail the relevant details.
