Canon by Pachabell arr. Stephanie Edwardson

Pachabell's Canon is the all-time favourite wedding song for brides and violinists. Meanwhile, most cellists get bored out of their brains playing those 8 notes over and over at a gig. I made this cello quartet arrangement for my high school students, whose love of the tune has not yet worn off. Parts 3 & 4 alternate between the bass line and tune so no performer has opportunity to get bored. An additional 'melody-only' line has been included should anybody wish to play the piece as a solo. This piece has been transposed from the original key to G Major so that it is more comfortable to play on the cello.

Wow I play cello in a wedding ensemble and we play this at every wedding. I think I actually fell asleep playing this one time haha. I love your arrangement. Great job!

It's ok but it can use a little more work on it. To much going on in one time. more flowing please!

Nice modifications and arragement. It sounds nice, and plays bettr in the Cellist point of view I would presume. Very nice! Enjoyed it very much.
