I have always been a musician at heart all my life. I started singing when I was young. When I reached 4th grade my parents ask which instrument I wanted to play. Since there was a viola my brother had bought, but no longer using I said viola. It was a full size viola and a little big at first, but I loved it. In sixth grade I thought about changing to cello but the principal violist for the local orchestra had heard me and suggested I shoul stick with viola. I continued playing in school orchestras and the local youth orchestra. When I went to college my focus changed to theatre, but I continued to minor in music. After college all my focus turned to theatre. Now 25 years I picked up my viola and have been playing ever since. I now play with a community orchestra and love that I have turned back to my first love.
