I live on the edge of NE London, England.
I have been playing drums on and off for a few decades. Been in many bands covering a range of styles.
My favourite drummer is Tony Williams who was with Miles Davies at 17!
Interests
I have worked P/T as an independent, volunteer Teacher and Librarian at the Tibetan Children`s Village (TCV) School in Ladakh, North West Indian Himalaya. Choglamsar, a few kilometres south of Leh, the capital of Ladakh, to be precise.
The school has some 2,000 students and sits at 11,000 ft / 3,500 m. Bear in mind, that this is the base altitude for the region! Try visiting a TCV school, I defy you to leave unchanged!
My activities included:
Teaching Drum Kit
Teaching English
Teaching the use of Personal Computers
Classifying the extensive School Library.
I have also taught drumming in the UK, again to Tibetans and other Asian students at the Pestalozzi International Children`s Village.
As of October 2009, I`ll start teaching at the Junior/Primary school my children go to, and I`m very excited about this.
