well, i started on Tenor, then learned Baritone Sax about a year after that, and alto just last year; I prefer Tenor to them all however. And i am great (thanks 4 askin) and how are you?

Thanks! The video isn't too appropriate for a general audience, but I still like it. You know that piece I'm working on? It's just going to be for piano, and called "Ode to a Nightengale" and is based off the poem by John Keats.

Good news! My string piece (aka, piano piece) is going better than before, and the Prelude is going to be great!

Tuileries? I've been trying to figure out how to change it into a bassoon solo. It does seem fun to play, though. As for the Wild Rose, it does sound better much slower.

Hi, I read your post about the 1812 Ouverture. I found the orchestral score eventually, but as I understood, you need the short score.
Anyway, here's the link if it'll be of any help http://notes.tarakanov.net/instrum/chaik-1812-score.zip

BTW, the site is in Russian

I've been playing sax for about 8 months now. I've played tpt for 9 years, and I think that has really helped me to pick up sax. It all translates nicely in Bb.

Hey thanks for the compliment. Yes I was improvising, and I have grown to really appreciate tenor sax. Good luck with "in the mood"

Sorry for not responding sooner, our connection was down for a while. The new pic is of Bernstein again, one of the last photographs of him. I love your new pic, too!

lol, i went to your page and there was your pets and your monkey loaded funny on my computer (gotta love dial-up) and it looked like he melted. it was just his head and a bunch of purple and black lines going down. i thought it was funny.

I'm going to put off looking for a sax until I fully realize how I'm going to pay for one . By the way, the piano clip was the second movement from Prokofiev's second piano concerto, but now I have Bernstein conducting the "Candide" Overture. When I first joined city band this summer, our first concert included this as the first piece, and I nearly cried just looking at - it looked that difficult. Looking back now, it was really fun after I got the gist of where Mr. Bernstein was going between cut time and 3/2 time ...

Yeah, I'm hoping some of Mozart's genius will shine on my compositions (a concertpiece and concerto). But first, I'll need to finish my music theory "homework" my teacher gave me over the summer - Uuugggghhh!!!. I like your new Starbuck's pic , and I'm glad that you enjoyed both videos. I just wished that they could have shown more of the bass sax instead of the ensemble.

Thanks once again for the help , I'll take a look at those sites. By the way, did you see the second movement of the Dijk bass sax concerto? The more sensitive side of the instrument.
