"Mad World" was written by Roland Orzabal of "Tears for Fears". It was on their first album, "The Hurting", and also on the greatest hits collection "Tears Roll Down." You might be having trouble finding it because many of you are searching for the person who wrote the majority of music for "Donnie Darko", Michael Andrews, or Gary Jules, who sang the song. (In fact, someone had posted a PDF of the sheet music for "Mad World" that was incorrectly attributed to Michael Andrews.)

The arrangement for "Darko" is stunning, no doubt... but this may help you in your searches.
