My favorite way to pick up tips and tricks on playing an instrument is just to study other players playing. Anyone know any good flute stuff on DVD to check out (performance, not "lessons")? All I`ve got with prominent flute right now are concerts by Jethro Tull, John Denver and Chicago.

Perhaps your ability to get tips etc from watching these dvd`s is just a bit different experience from the person whose primary instrument is flute, AND who learned in a more traditional manner. Good Luck!!

You should check out Robert Dick`s dvds, he`s got a collection of them, and they`re all really great.
I think he did a whole set on the flying lessons stuff that he wrote, really great material and a lot of fun to play.

Actually at this point in my life I haven`t sat down to watch a DVD of anything beyond screening movies that appeal to my youngest daughter! Sorry, my life emphasis is a bit different these days. Someday....
