Does anyone know any good marches for flute or piccolo? I tried to find stars and stripes forever but I coundn`t get a hold of the copy? Any suggestions?

I have a whole book of Sousa marches. I do have Stars and Stripes scaned into my computer at home. I will email you a copy if you would like. I don`t get home till next week as I am out of town in Idaho once again.

I am looking forward to comming home as it is a lot warmer there right now. I don`t care for snow much.

Your lucky. i know this is a flute forum and well, i'm a band person. i'm a french horn player and every single march that i have played has the down beat or upbeat constantly. The Freelance march isn't hard but it is the only beat that gave the french horn players out there the melody. LOL!!!

ahh..i wanted to play french horn when i was in 5th grade. My band director WANTED me to play that. BUT NOPE..FLUTE!! oh yea. But i still would LOVE to play french horn..it's pretty.
Yea..i saw this french horn music in band and it was all off beats. i was like..?????...flutes had so many melodic stuff..yea. but i don't like playing the melody all the time

Well that's cool that you want to play french horn. i enjoy it. i started playing when i was in 6th grade, b/c we don't have band in 5th(grrrrr) But i think flute's cool. alot of my friends are flute players.

My friends are flute players..that's why i picked to play the flute. I was supposed to play the french horn..but on the first band rehersal in 5th grade, i came with a flute. I don't know if my band director like that^_^..because there was already SOOO many flutes. Besides my mom didn't know what a french horn was..when we were going to rent it..so just said i'll do flute. NOW,..she know what a flute is..yup.

i asked my band director(highschool)..if i could play the french horn..because there isn't any horn players. BUT NOOOOO.i couldn't...*SIGH* he needed me playing flute. GOSH..there's barely any flute in band. and you could barely hear us!!..but it's cool. i LOVE flute

Wow, in my band we have too many flutes and only two french horn players. i wish we had more good french horn players, i don't want horn players in my section who will never play their music correctly. lol!
