Can do, but if you want to pick the instrument that's the best fit for you, you really need to play test them against each other, and not rely on others to point you to one specific instrument.

Just so you know, the Jupiter 303, and the Gemeinhardt 4PSH, and Emerson P3H2, all look to just about fit the bill. Check them out at fluteworld.com

I love how this post was resurrected out of the blue for something completely off topic. Guess I'm easily amused.

And I believe Penny's comment was regarding the previous posts on colored instruments.

How is anything off topic?

The whole "purple and Gold" thing was regarding a flute on ebay. And I was saying that it would match my school colors.

I would check Fluteworld. They have a huge selection of flute music with various other instruments. You can pretty much specify the instrumentation you want and see what they have available.

Well first off, they are made of cheap pot metal which is extremely soft (which leads to damaging), and is very difficult to repair (most techs won't even look at flutes like this). They also tend to have a poor scale, and the headjoint generally leaves much to be desired. The mechanism is not at all smooth, and generally, it's a very poor quality instrument. It's best to steer clear of any non brand name instrument if at all possible.
