hey every1
my grandad died just recently in a plane crash and my mum wants me too play my flute at his funeral i dont really no anything appropriate so i was wondering is any one had any ideas ??

I obviously donít know what were your Granddadís favourite hymns/songs or what he liked to here you play but you should remember that a funeral is an occasion to celebrate a person's life.

Given the circumstances, I would select something not too technically demanding and which can be played sensitively if not with emotion.

It doesnít have to have religious words - for instance if your Granddad had a passion for flying perhaps "Up, up and away (in my beautiful balloon)" or "Those magnificent men in their flying machines" - although "Flight of the Bumble Bee" might be too technically challenging for the circumstances. Something like this would require a competent accompanist and could be combined with something simple like "Amazing Grace".
