I hope that this question will not unleash another storm, but I was left with so much curiosity about the "diamond springs" of a good flute. Mine has white gold springs, but diamond ones, frankly...

I have googled this and I get lots of references to a city in California, but nothing I could find concerning the springs of a flute.

Could it be that there is a manufacturer of high quality springs for flutes with this brand name?

Any idea?

There's always the possibility of a company producing spring wire that's named "Diamond Springs, Inc." or the like, but I have never heard of them. And diamond (the material) is very hard, but would not be suited to flute springs. I think this is likely a case of mistaken identity....Someone confused one valuable material (diamond) for another (white gold), and ended up talking about diamond springs.
