I was wondering if anyone has a link or a list of tempo ranges for the excerpts in the Baxtresser book (flute)??? I know dependant on the audition and conductor the tempos would range...but just trying to get some firmer ideas. Thanks!

im guessing you would just use the tempo that the piece is set at... if you have her cd, she plays them and explains it. maybe the cd will help you get a better idea

always practice orchestral pieces with a range of tempi, different conductors do different things, also, learn orchestral pieces from the actual parts and scores, auditioners usually can tell who learned from an excerpt book
