It is my sincere regret that I have managed to offend the members of this forum.
I apologize, in particular, to Kara, whose knowledge of flutes far eclipses mine. As well, to Micron, Azflutist, Patrick, Bilbo --- and the others.
You know, when I first came to this forum, I thought I was a "know-it-all". I soon found out that I have many things to learn.
I'm human --- I have frailtys ---- and make mistakes.
I am man enough to admit when I'm wrong. And, I was wrong.
It may well be that I'm not worthy of this forum. And that, I accept.
If you look at my last three posts --- it has nothing to do with anything other than flute-playing.
I'm called a "troll" --- and other things that I won't repeat.
Probably, I deserved it, for interrupting this forum, with my redundant posts, "defending" my postion(s), this, that or the other.
But --- after all is said and done --- I never came here to "cause trouble". Apparently, this was not the case.
I came here to be informed, to debate and participate in an open forum. I immediately got off on the wrong foot by putting my shoe into my big mouth. That's MY shortcoming.
Again, in closing, my apologies to Kara, Micron, Azflutist, Patrick, Bilbo --- and the many others who bring so much to this forum, and whom I've offended ---- with never any intention of doing so.
I will leave this forum, if it is the wish of you members who choose that.
I NEVER intended to offend anyone. I really came here to learn. I'm sorry it didn't come off that way. I can't take it back. But I wish I could.
Although you were not the one who really bugged(it was Phil) I accept. But I cannot accept on the behalf of others.
Now I give everyone 2 chances...Hello.How are you?I'm Cheyenne and I've been playing flute for about 7 years.I hope you enjoy our gracious site and I hope you have fun and learn many new things.
If each person stops. Then perhaps the fight is over. If we start again with post of accusations and rebuttals constantly blaming others then we will end up back at it.
Seriously folks, let's get back to the real reason that we are here. To talk about flutes and flute playing. We can talk about flute players but not about the flute players that use this forum. I think this is where we get derailed each time.
I meant it as a joke. Part of why it was humorous was because you hadn't done anything to anyone.
Another reason it was funny to me was because you had just asked us to stop casting blame. So I cast it all on you, to be humorous. If you have read my profile, you will already know that I have a softer side as well as a quite large funny bone.
I never meant to hurt you, Bilbo. I like you. If I were able to have more children, I would name one after you. I guess I could always re-name one of my sons.

Oh, I almost forgot. I thought that this was the proper place to talk about that since the thread is named "An open letter of apology ....." and also since your comment seemd to ask for a response.
By the way, I agree. Let's keep our future conversation strictly about flutes and flautists. I'm starting to get very angry about the fact that we keep getting off the subject.
Please, everyone --- get a sense of humor and learn how to reply in a decent fashion, whether you agree or disagree with their posts.
How ridiculous this forum is, with "this tech", "that tech" --- whatever.
Who cares about that. This is supposed to be a forum on flute PLAYING --- not dissertations on "atoms", "particle physics", etc., etc -- ad nauseum.
Just lighten up, get a sense of humor (if you can) and let's get back to the business about talking about flute PLAYING.
Excuse me? When I came here, that's what I THOUGHT this forum was about. FLUTE PLAYING. Not engineering, physics, particle physics, etc.
Get real and get with the program. This is a friendly flute forum about flute PLAYING. Not a forum for engineers, scientists, atomic physicists, etc.
Who cares about that? Let's talk about Rhonda Larson, Tracy Harris, Jeanne Baxtresser, Julius Baker, etc., etc.
And let's share the latest audio and/or a/v clips listening to what we want to HEAR. Not all this "techno" babble stuff.
NOT that I DON'T appreciate what the engineers, physicists --- and the other members who ARE accomplished in these areas bring --- I certainly do. Their input is enlightening and welcome.
But, once in awhile, we like to talk just about PLAYING the flute. Or, HEARING wonderful flutists play, whom we like.
