my director, another senior, and i were folding programs for what was tonight's concert. we started discussing spring pops, which is also the senior show.

he would like to feature us three seniors on different pieces. one is a xylophone solo for our percussion player. our director said that he would like out clarinet player and i to do a duet with band together, and that's why i'm hear.
i'd prefer for each of us to have our own "show piece" especially since we don't have a jazz band this year.

anyways, it can be flute and clarinet with band or piccolo and clarinet with band. i'm going to approach him with a solo piccolo and band piece i'd love to do (the wren polka..find it on gofishmusic.com) all suggestions would be helpful and greatly appreciated. thanks everyone!

I would recommend the Flower Duet from Lakme by Delibes. It might be just what you're looking for!

There is an arrangement for two solo instruments and concert band available here:

I went to a friend's concert and they had it as a duet with flute and oboe, but flute and clarinet should be just as nice!

One more thing:

Check out Larry Krantz's site for a list of flute pieces with band at http://www.larrykrantz.com/withband.htm
