My cousins came over today, and decided they would take my stack of sheet music on my desk and feed it into the paper shredder while I was out doing chores!! Among the music was the Canon in D arranged for flute quartet, the Chaminade, and a bunch of anime theme songs!! Of course they were reprimanded, but apparently they were "too young to know better" and their mom won't fund for new music! If anyone has these pieces i would appreciate a copy, because I am currently broke.

And what was the Mom's justification for not paying to replace your sheet music? Or should I say shred music?

Yeah, I would like to know that too! I was just telling my husband about this and he thought that the Mother should replace the music. That is crazy!

Yeah, if they're "too young to know better"... well, then it's called parental supervision. Keep your kid away from a paper shredder and keep them from turning it on and sticking things in it lol! But I wasn't there so I can't judge her, who knows what the situation was.

My aunt has a reputation for bad parenting skills. You can see it in the way the kids talk to her to her face, its just rude! And the oldest one is in the 6th grade learning oboe, and didnt even stop his younger brothers from shredding the music! Ugh! It ruined my evening.

I started rewriting the canon on Finale this morning, it really isnt that difficult to figure out. Of course it wouldve been easier not to have it murderously shredded in the first place! :(
