Work it as a slower tempo and get your tone smooth and even and then work it up the tempo. It will have a far better impact on your audience. You are not Galway, you are you, so take it slower first.

i agree with kara slow it down a bit and work on you articulation and dynamics then speed it up again when you can get the other bits right, but when you have only been playing as long as you have that was good, (i hope i can playing it in 2 years time) don't worry about not being the best at the moment focus on bettering your technique try keep your head up a bit more (raise your music stand a bit if possible) and work on get the dynamics and articulation just right before playing a fast peice at full tempo (trust me i didn't get a very good mark on my grade 2 study because i tried to put it at full seed rather then getting the articulation and the rest right. but good luck anyway.

Yes, but what do I know. In an email he claimed that I have poor skills on flute. How he can tell this by a couple of videos of me playing a slow piece is beyond me.

quite ordinary actualy go back and learn to play it the way the composer intended it to be played any one can play loud and fast but few can truly express the story it tells
