So I'm still trying to decide between a Pearl Elegante 795, a Jupiter Medici 1331, and a Muramatsu EX III. I have tried them all, and they all sound equally great. I get a bit better sound out of the Muramatsu, but I really like the feel of both the Pearl and the Jupiter. The Jupiter and Pearl cost $1,500, and the EX III costs $2,000. Which do you think is the better deal, financially?

If you sound equally as good on all the models then perhaps you are not ready for that caliber of a flute yet. Muramatsu is by far the better choice and blows the other two models away. It is up to you though.

I think that $2000.00 for an EX III is cheap. If you sound better on the Muramatsu, then you should go for the Muramatsu. It might be that the Muramatsu needs a little COA. I have always found the mechanism on the flute to be fantastic.

Just my 2 cents.

Muramatsu definitely.... But if you don't want to spend that much definitely go with the Pearl.
