I am going to get a new flute and I have finally narrowed it down to two flutes but before i chose for sure I wanted to know what other people thought about each flute. The two were the Pearl Quantz 765RBE-CODA and the Avanti 1000. Thanks

You can get the better headjoint if you try the anniversary model version. Same flute but with the handmade Forza headjoint..same price

I have been wanting to try an Avanti for some time now. The Pearl Quantz does not work well for me and my style of playing. I would probably lean more towards the Avanti after talking to Dave Kessler about them. I owned a Pearl Quantz for a brief period of time. The mechanism felt good on it and the scale worked wonderfully for me but I did not get a good sound on it.

theflutist94, i have tried a Sankyo 201 but did not like it much as compared to other flutes I have tried.
