I'm thinking of buying a Trevor James Alto flute and see that the older " Master Series" altos sell for more used than the new "Performer Series" Altos even though they are both silver plated head joints and bodies with silver lip plates. I don't have access to either to play them side by side but I see no difference in them except the price. Anyone have any knowledge ( not guessing) as to why the used Master Series might be worth more than the new Performers?
