I received my Yamaha 674 HCT a couple days ago. I'm not that impressed. My main beef is that the high notes are difficult to get a good sound on.

So I am considering the Muramatsu Ex and the Powell Signature. Who has tried these and what was your verdict?

Adapting to a new instrument may take a year or so.

But if I had to choose, I'd go for the Mura.

I actually have one, as my backup flute. I can say I'm more than happy with it.
