It was hilarious! I got a new flute for Christmas and was unaware it was silver plated until it started to tarnish. It was kinda gross but I shinned and polished her nice and new!

I like the black look with the solid silver flutes. It`s so cool. You`d think it was some black sorta metal thing until you learn that it`s just silver. The more high-end they are, the more black they look. It`s so cool!
The black isn`t gross. But what is are the ends of my [rental] flute. They`re bright green and I can`t get if off. It`s sooooo ewwish. All I can do with it is make the remaining exposed metal shinier so that it`s less nastifying.

But hey, as long as you like what you`re doing what does it matter?
