Please help.
is the d flat scale the same as the c sharp scale or am i going crazy. because we are having a band audition coming up and we are suposed to play all these scales and D flat as well as c sharp are both listed. What should I do?

yes, Db and C# are the exact same scales...maybe there`s a misprint or something. Have you asked your band teacher???

It could be more that you`re required to think in flats or sharps because of a given piece. Reading the two scales can be very different even though they are enharmonic.

They are the same scale it just depends on how you think of each... Flats of Sharps.

uhm at my school we do a diff scale and i wanna ask something it`s Bflat, C, D, Eflat, F, G, Aflat, Bflat high, then the octave key (can someone tell me the fingerings for it???), then u go backwards
